Everything a cabin in the North Woods is supposed to be. I'm conflicted about posting this review because then other people will know about Partidge Cabins and we won't be able to get in again. We loved it here. The cabin was cozy and comfortable, with old knotty pine paneling just like it should have. The kitchen was fully equipped with pots and pans, dishes, utensils, etc and the beds were very comfortable (more saucepan lids would have been helpful, though). And the cabin was so spotlessly clean when we arrived that it sparkled. All the cabins are set on a sweeping green lawn with incredible views of First Connecticut Lake and Mt. Magalloway beyond. There is even a seriously good ice cream stand right at the entrance. The owners - Kathy and Jerry - are friendly, funny, welcoming and very helpful with tips on things to do in Pittsburg. They have canoes and kayaks for guests to use and there are comfortable chairs to sit in to just admire the view. At night you can hear the loons calling to each other on the lake. Such a wonderful getaway; we didn't want to leave. In fact the three other guests I talked to were all regulars who said they stayed here at least once a year, which says a lot about the place.

Moonlight, loons, and ice cream—perfect combination! We came to Partridge Cabins because they have Moose Alley Cones, part of the NH Ice Cream Trail, right on site. We are so glad we made the trip! The owners were wonderful, and Otter Cove was waiting for us, fully equipped for cooking and right on the water. Loons called at night, and the quiet and the moonlight on the lake were both memorable. Don’t worry about checking your email or getting texts; you will enjoy your vacation from the internet! And the ice cream was great, too!

Couples Vacation OMG this is the prefect spot if you want to get away from the world. First CT lake is beautiful, large, quiet and too many loons to count. The cabin we stayed in was a little older, but that did not matter is us. It reminded me of my grandparents cabin I spent many summers at when I was a kid. Beautiful front porch only steps away from the water edge. Our cabin was so quiet and cozy only turned on TV once to see storm coming our way. Great little fishing boats available to rent and we did and toured the whole lake. Hosts Kathy and Jerry were so helpful and caring we couldn't help booking another weekend in August 2019

Another great year! We have been coming to Partridge for quite a few years now. Never disappointed. Jerry and Cathy are great. The cabin is always perfect and snowmobiling up here can't be beat. There is nothing lacking. Cathy and Jerry always make you feel like family. Would strongly recommend staying here.

A remote paradise in a perfect surrounding! Staying at Partridge Cabins a couple of days is a MUST when you are in New Hampshire. Jerry and Cathy are the best hosts ever. A perfect surrounding at the lakefront, beautiful cabins, cozy atmosphere, perfectly clean. We found this amazing place coincidentally driving through New England and it definitely was THE highlight of our trip.

First Time but Definitely Not the Last !!!! We went up with another couple, stayed in Loon Cabin, and frogot about the outside world. It was so serene and the breathtaking views were there from sunrise to sunset. Cathy and Jerry treated like us family and for that we extremely grateful. Check in and check out was a breeze and we got some cool Swag on the way out. Excellent Prices. We are already planning our return visit.

Loved First Connecticut Lake!! What a terrific vacation we had up in Pittsburg, NH! We stayed in a marvelous spot: a clean and comfortable cabin just a couple of hundred feet from First Connecticut Lake - a glorious place to canoe or kayak, to sit and enjoy a sunrise, and to use as a kick-off spot for hiking and other good experiences on NH hills and lakes. Jerry and Cathy provided us with lots of good information about places to visit to appreciate our environment and see wildlife. And Moose Alley Cones, right at Partridge Cabins, offers delicious ice creams!

Soooo Relaxing! Visited Partridge Cabins based on the recommendation of a friend and was not disappointed! We needed to have some relaxation time so badly, so booked a cabin on a whim. Ended up having our truck break down on the way up. Got towed to a nearby dealer who got it going again after 4 hours. Called Kathy to tell her what was happening. She assured me that our cabin would still be waiting. Finally arrived at 7pm to a big hug and welcome from the hosts. You would have thought we were friends for years. Kathy insisted we go get settled, dip our feet in the lake and have a drink. Business could wait till morning. We have never felt so relaxed in our lives. We spoke to Gerry (her husband) each day and shared many, many stories. View was amazing. Cabin was great. Only thing I would change is to pick a cabin that allowed campfires (some do and some don't due to fire regulations). Next time!

Great place! Friends and I recently visited Partridge Cabins fora four day fishing trip. This may have been our fifth or sixth time as a group to this same place and it gets better every time! The cabins are beautifully kept, the grounds and dock area are great, but the hosts, Cathy and Jerry are outstanding. They will be as helpful as you need or stay away and leave you to yourselves. A great place if you're looking for something that far north; and the fishing's not bad either.
